Who this is

This website is operated by Skyward Roofing, a roofing contractor serving Ocala and Marion County, Florida. Using the site means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, please do not use it.

The instant roof estimate

The instant estimate measures your roof from aerial imagery and multiplies that measurement by our current per-square pricing. It is useful, and it is honest about what it is, but you need to understand three things about it.

It is a measurement, not an inspection. Aerial imagery shows the shape and size of the roof. It cannot see the condition of the decking underneath, how many layers are already up there, the state of the flashing, or anything else that is found once a roofer is actually standing on it. The imagery may also be several years old, and on properties with more than one structure the model may measure a building other than the house.

A range is not a quote and not an offer. Any dollar figure the tool shows is an estimate generated by software from a remote measurement. It does not create a contract, it does not bind Skyward Roofing to any price, and it is not an offer capable of acceptance. A price becomes real when it is written, itemised, and signed, after someone has seen the roof.

The final price can differ. Decking replacement, additional layers, code upgrades required at permit, access, and the details of your particular roof all move the number. We would rather tell you that here than surprise you later.

Information on this site

We write about the Florida Building Code, permitting, insurance and roofing practice because it genuinely helps people make decisions. It is general information about the trade, not advice about your specific roof, your policy or your claim. Florida's insurance rules in particular change often. For your situation, talk to us, your insurance agent, or the building department — whichever fits the question.

Estimates and appointments

Requesting an estimate does not create a contract and does not obligate either of us. We may decline work, and you are free to hire anyone you like. Any work we do perform is governed by the written agreement you sign for that job, not by this page.
